A new home

We have found a "house"! * 347 Acton Lane * Acton, London * W38NU * UK * It is fairly large in London terms, and expectantly expensive because of that. We will be sharing with fellow students to mitigate the costs, but the way the "house" is laid out, it shouldn't be too bad. It has a quiet garden in back complete with pond and frog, to counter the slightly busy/noisy street in the front. Dawn Elizabeth and I have a room in the front upper floor with built-in cupboards and bay windows with Forrest just behind us in a room with cubbies and drawers. There is only one small bathroom, but it has a bathtub. And there is a second toilet, but it's in the shed out back! But, hey. The immediate neighborhood isn't trendy yet, but there is a community pool, several parks, tube stations nearby and the bus to our school comes a few blocks away. There appear to be several options for Forrest's school as well, but that is what we are looking into today. Greatest thing is that there is a nice reception room with a "fireplace" that can act as a decent guest room. We'll get our Vonage phone set up asap, and then we can be called for chats. Taking it a day at a time with love from the UK, Roblin, Elizabeth and Forrest

Wow! A home! Absolutely essential for peace of mind and ease of body - congratulations. It stopped raining here a couple of days ago, but only for a couple of days, and now the air, wind, and rain have a definite Fall flavor. We are missing you but we know you are doing great things over there in the U.K.
    Love,
    Susan

Great news about the house! May it soon fill up with new friends (and a few of us old ones who come visiting. We miss you here in rainytown, though if my memory serves me, you're probably still getting a bit of rain yourself there in London. I'd sent in a comment last week when I first saw your latest entry, but I must not have done it right because it never "arrived" - oh well.
    Love,

Thanks for the e-mails - esp. enjoyed Elizbeth's good narrative about everything.
How about posting some info about how the school is turning out?
And some descriptions of Forrest's latest capers.
Oh, yes, and a full report of Guy Fawke's Day!
